Sundowner Drive

Clay Pigeon Shooting

Also known as Clay Target Shooting, this activity involves the shooting of targets under the supervision of our professional staff. Definitely something worth exploring during your stay!

Longbow Shooting

First used in the Middle Ages for hunting and as a strategic weapon of war, the art of the longbow shooting was perfected by both English and Welsh archers. Try out your precision in the Activities area at Gmundner Lodge and put your aiming skills to the test.

Star Gazing

Experience the stars of the African sky. With a breathtaking view of the Milky way, a clear night at Gmundner offers an experience that cannot be replicated on any other continent.

Golf

A trip to the nearby golf course can be arranged for guests, who can also hit a few balls on the property’s own driving range.

E-Motocross

Like the SunCycle (only faster), E-motocross promises an adrenaline-filled journey across the reserve. The bikes are remarkably quiet, leaving the wildlife in the area undisturbed.

Horse Riding

Horse riding offers a unique opportunity to experience nature in a magical way. Whether early in the morning with the first rays of sunshine or in the evening on a sundowner ride, riding these graceful animals gives you a special sense of connection with your surroundings.

Our court is ideal for an hour or two of sociable exercise. Enjoy a friendly (or competitive!) match with family, or other guests visiting the lodge.

Gym and Sauna

Game Drive

The game drives are offered at sunrise or sunset to bring out the magical colours of the African sun. Track & Follow

Embarking on a trek through the Kalahari on foot promises an adventure like no other. Seasoned guides will expertly seek out animal tracks to follow, unveiling a world of diverse fauna and flora.

E-Biking

E-biking is an easy alternative to a hike and allows guests to enjoy the landscape at a leisurely pace. Our e-bikes are designed in Namibia and made for the African terrain. The bikes are battery-powered and propelled forward by a motor. The cleverly named SunCycle is powered by the sun and comes equipped with a solar-charged battery.

Gmundner Lodge is particularly proud of its traditional origins in Austria, where Gmundner ceramics is synonymous with the finest Austrian tableware. In our specially equipped ceramics room, our guests have the unique opportunity to paint their own ceramic pieces and give free rein to their inner artist.
